Seamless Transition and Fault-Ride-Through by Using a Fuzzy EO PID Controller in AVR System

One of the most crucial control aspects in electric power networks is ensuring constant voltage levels throughout different circumstances. To overcome this problem, an automatic regulator (AVR) installed electrical to preserve at its allowable range. In paper, a fuzzy-based PID controller was used enhance AVR dynamic performance under several operating conditions. Moreover, Equilibrium Optimizer (EO) algorithm initialize gains. The validation proposed proven through three systems. first simple system fixed and references. fuzzy EO proved superiority case reduction overshoot by around 3–28% compared with reported methods literature. Then, fault-ride capability second system, which Kundur two-area suffering from 3-phase fault condition, where reduced 4–7% default modern weighted method Lastly, IEEE 9-bus tested normal, faulty, loading Again, succeeded reducing maximum 5% system. achieved seamless transition between islanding grid-connected mode operation.
